L'article indéfini

 Articles are the part of speech which help us to understand if noun is mescaline or feminine. In french every noun has a gender: it is either mescaline or feminine. In french there are four type of articles:

L'article indéfini

L'article défini

L'article contracté

L'article partitif

 L'article indéfini:

Un (mescaline singular)

Une (feminine singular)

Des ( plural)

The s sound is not pronounced in des if the following word starts with a consonant.

 However it is pronounced as z if following word starts with a vowel or silent h (as h is also a semi vowel in french).

	Mescaline	Feminine
Singular	un tableau	une chaise
Plural	des tableaux	des tableaux

Examples:

1. It voit un petit chien près de sa maison.

2. Il y a une chaise dans le salon.

3. Nous voyons des oiseaux dans le ciel.
